Community Connections

Working with families and youth in local emergency shelters

Community Connections works with families and youth living in the Twin Cities' emergency shelters, providing support, counseling and skill building sessions to help them cope with their current crisis, transition to more stable housing, and begin to address the underlying issues which initially brought them to the shelter. Families are given information and referrals to other community-based agencies and government entities to create a safety net for them to prevent future homelessness.
